Design and Architecture Norway

DOGA supports and facilitates the Norwegian presence in various internationally recognised design arenas, including Milan Design Week/FuoriSalone, considered the most important platform for design in all of Europe.

In 2016, DOGA became a collaborative partner of the exhibition project Structure – Norwegian contemporary crafts and design, together with Norwegian Crafts, Klubben and Jotun. Lundhs and the Oslo Design Fair also participated in the collaboration, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided financial support. This collaboration continued in 2017 with the exhibition Everything is Connected (picture at the top).

Stockholm Design Week

Stockholm Design Week is also an important design arena and DOGA works to develop Norway’s participation in Stockholm in a long-term perspective. The Samarbeidsrådet for møbel og interiørdesign (SMI), a network of designers, manufacturers, organisations and educational institutions, is a central partner and contributor to this work.

New York Design Week

New York Design Week is the most important design event in the Eastern U.S. The United States is an exciting market, with major opportunities to stand out among the crowd. A Norwegian presence over ten years has yielded numerous positive results.

London Design Festival

100% Norway is an exhibition of new products by leading talents in the Norwegian design scene. The goal is to promote the reputation of Norwegian design and secure opportunities in new arenas for designers. DOGA has been involved in this exhibition since 2003 through a collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norwegian Embassy in London and DOGA. DOGA provides funding, project management and secretarial support. The exhibition is part of the annual London Design Festival and has been arranged since 2003.
