The 2019 DOGA Award Jury
Jan Erik Rossow is head of the DOGA Award Jury.
Jan Erik holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Edinburgh College of Art and a Master’s from the Aarhus School of Architecture. He worked as a freelance architect in France before relocating to Norway. He is one of the founding partners of the break-out collective VILL. The collective is comprised of architects, designers, scenographers, social entrepreneurs and more, wanting to make a change throug new business models, circular approaches and sustainability.
Behnam Farazollahi is the head of the jury for the DOGA Award for Newcomers.
He is managing director of Neue Design Studio, and enjoys working in the intersection between strategy and creativity. He is former Strategic Lead of ANTI where he worked with national and international clients such as Telenor, DNB, and Pernod-Ricard. Behnam has worked on developing brands such as Vipps and Telenor Yng, and was one of the founding partners of independent music magazine ENO.
Anita Steinstad works as service designer and design strategist in Netlife's Bergen office. Her background is from branding, and she has worked for clients such as Helsedirektoratet (113), Miljødirektoratet, TV 2 and SR-Bank. Through collecting and analysing user insight – Anita helps clients discover new user-centered design solutions and business models.
Anita is an experienced design thinker, trained from Design Thinking: Strategic Design for Innovation – a collaborative cross-disciplinary program focused on teaching design thinking through practice.
Helle Moen is the regional director of EGGS Design Trondheim and an angel investor who strongly believes in diversity and inclusiveness as keys to innovation. As part of the DOGA award jury, she is the expert on ecomonic sustainability.
Having gone from R&D in marine technology via international business development, MedTech startup, and venture capital, Helle has seen and used many different tools and methods to increase innovation and build successful ventures. But when she realized what design methods can be used for, she wanted to be a part of that – and she will share this experience with you.
Helle holds a Master of Science from NTNU and a Master of Technology Management from NTNU/NHH/the National University of Singapore and holds several board positions.
Atle Tveit (born 1972) is a Norwegian furniture designer. After graduating from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design (2006) with a master’s degree, he started his own design office with a former classmate. This collaboration lasted for 4 years and resulted in many products for various Scandinavian furniture manufacturers and several awards, among them the Award for Design Excellence and the Young Talent Award from DOGA. Today the Atle Tveit Design studio is located in Oslo, Norway.

Carl-Andreas Berg Aspelund is an interior architect working at Snøhetta where he has been involved in projects with clients such as Museum of Cultural History, Henie Onstad Art Center, A/D/O by MINI and IKEA.
Carl-Andreas is trained from Westerdals ACT, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milano and Royal College of Art in London. He is particularly interested in how design and architecture can meet the technological, societal and environmental challenges we are facing.
Ellinor Aas is a Landscape Architect at Bjørbekk & Lindheim, trained from NMBU and AHO. Her experience includes working for the Oslo City Council, LINK Landscape, and as a writer on landscape architecture for Arkitektnytt.
Esbjörn Kjell is an architect and landscape architect at Dark. His education background includes Japanese, Spanish, linguistics, history, human ecology, architecture, and finally landscape architecture which led on to a Master's degree in 2007.
In 2008, Esbjörn joined Selberg arkitektkontor in Oslo, where he designed buildings, care homes, schools and sports centers. He soon moved on to manage projects and planning processes.
Throught his cross-disciplinary background, Esbjörn has gained broad experience within architecture. Before Esbjörn joined Dark in 2018, he worked at tegn_3 as head of department.
Grete Skogmo Haugland works as Senior Interior Architect at Rambøll. She holds a Master's degree in Furniture and Spatial Design/Interior Architecture from Bergen Academy of Art and Design from 2006.
Grete has worked on and managed projects designing workplaces, schools, kindergartens, health facilities, shopping centers and shops. Clients include Equinor, the Municipality of Bergen and Regjeringskvartalet.

Jan Christian Vestre is the jury representative from the corporate sector
He is the thid generation CEO of family run Vestre – a leading manufacturer of furniture for towns, parks and outdoor public spaces. Jan Christian has a law degree from the university of Oslo, and has a background from national politics.
Lina Aker is an enthusiastic designer with a Master's degree in Industrial Design from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design. Boasting more than 15 years of experience from product development and team management, Lina has a holistic approach to innovation, branding and design. Today, Lina works as a designer for Bergans.
Mads one of the founding partners of ÆRA. He spends much of his time running open-ended strategic innovation projects witrh many stakeholders creating together, and a high degree of complexity. He is the initiator of the cross-sectoral innovation program Floke, which creates innovation opportunities out of society's biggest challenges. In the fall of 2018 he was nominated for the Nordic Council's Environment Prize.
Mads has long and broad experience as an innovation consultant and business architect for many of the major brands in Norway, including the Varner Group, Ruter, TINE, Norsk Gjenvinning, Nortura, Hafslund, AF-Gruppen.
Mads is a Chaos pilot og Certified Improve Consultant by the EU and a Design Thinker by IDEO. He has a combined background from both economics and psychology studies. Mads regularly gives lectures on how sustainability creates competitiveness.
Phuong Helen Nguyen is a service designer educated from Aalborg University Copenhagen. She has worked on promoting local ice cream, strengthening care of lonely people, and exaggerated use of confetti. Phuong works as a Senior Service Designer at Laerdal Medical where she currently helps people save lives.
Sissel Falch is partner and Senior Designer at Haltenbanken. She graduated from Danish School of Media and Journalism in 2008, and later went on to study Design Thinking: Strategic Design for Innovation – a practical cross-disciplinary programme between Norwegian School of Economics, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and the University of Bergen.
Sissel has 11 years of experience from the industry and has worked with big national and international clients. She spends her days working on brand strategies, experiences and design thinking – always with the user at the center.
Sissel has previously worked at the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation where she works on the white paper on Innovation in the Public Sector. She has also worked in the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency where she played a key role in establishing and developing a programme to stimulate innovation and service design in the public sector.
Synne Litlere works in Inventas as an industrial designer and project manager, based in Molde. For more than fifteen years, she has worked closely with large and small companies on design and product development. Synne is passionate about finding and initiating the good projects that add value and are of strategic importance to the companies.
In recent years, Synne has focused on leading design processes where she views products and services in a holistic business perspective and where sustainability is an important driver.
Synne is a trained industrial designer from NTNU in Trondheim and later completed the Grow Design Leadership course. She is involved in the cross-industry cluster NCE Ikuben and the innovation lab Protomore, where she contributes with developing methodology and running workshops focused on digitalization and sustainability.
Tom Morgan is Executive Creative Strategy Director & Partner at ANTI Bergen & Trondheim. As a creative strategist, Tom supports clients to make sense of 'who they are' and 'why they matter to others'. Forming smart concepts and organisational innovation focused on business objectives.
Tom descibes his job as "to grow ideas, define contexts, discover patterns, and observe behaviors and trends; delivering creative approaches to the little and big challenges of today and tomorrow – flipping them into opportunities."
Tone Berge is an architect trained from Bergen School of Architecture. She is one of the founding partners of Norwegian-Finnish architecture studio Kaleidoscope Nordic. Kaleidoscope was founded as a result of winning the world's largest competition for young urban and architectural design professionals (under the age of 40), Europan, in 2013.
For the ongoing Europan 15, Kaleidoscope was chosen to manage the Norwegian secretariat.
